Sugar Creek Township Park
In 2009, the two shelter were built with labor donated by the Hancock County Chapter of the Builders Association of Indianapolis. In 2010, $40,000 of playground equipment was installed with the help of community, park board members and the Sugar Creek Township Firefighters. Also in 2010, a nine hole frisbee golf course was installed as part of a Boy’s Scout Eagles project, funded by various donations. In the fall of 2010, New Palestine Travel Soccer started using a portion of the park for soccer fields. In 2011, $5,000 of equipment was installed to make a fitness trail. Grant money funded by Hancock Regional Hospital. In 2023 a maintenance building was built for future maintenance. In 2025 additional playground equipment and expansion of the area were installed along with 2 pickle ball courts with hope of future expansion.
